To make life easier, Booqable has created two different order status's for brand new orders that haven't been picked-up by the customer yet.

Those statuses are saved or reserved, and the article below will outline how to use either method to effectively manage your orders in Booqable.

How it works

Initially, every order has a status of [NEW] when placed in Booqable for the first time.
New orders don't appear in the Orders screen, and don't have an order number yet.

Unless the order is canceled, you'll want to either Save it, or Reserve it so it appears on your Orders page.

1. Save an order

If you're waiting for the go-ahead from your customer before you take your items out of availability, you can Save the order on it's individual order's screen to keep the information stored for when you are ready to reserve it.

Until you move the status to Reserved (below), all products are still available for other customers during the selected rental period.

2. Reserve an order

Once you are sure of the order and wish to reserve the items for the customer for the selected dates, you can go ahead and click Reserve on the individual order's screen.

The items on the order will then be reserved and unavailable for other bookings during the order period.

๐Ÿ’กNote: Reserve only appears if products are added to an order and the selectable rental period is specified.

You're all set!

You have now successfully learned how to save or reserve orders in Booqable.
