Payment methods you can enable in Booqable via Stripe

Booqable integrates with Stripe to support a wide range of payment methods. Depending on your country and Stripe account settings, you can enable popular local and international payment options during checkout.

Popular payment methods available through Stripe

You can activate the following commonly used payment methods in your Stripe dashboard and use them with your Booqable checkout:

Europe

  • iDEAL – Popular in the Netherlands

  • Bancontact – Common in Belgium

  • Sofort – Used in Germany and Austria

  • SEPA Direct Debit – Bank payments across the EU

  • Przelewy24 (P24) – Widely used in Poland

  • EPS – Used in Austria

  • Giropay – Used in Germany

  • Klarna – Pay later options across many European countries

Global

  • Credit and debit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more

  • Apple Pay and Google PayCurrently not supported in Booqable

  • PayPal – Available only if your Stripe account is based in Europe, the UK, or Switzerland (via the Wallets section in Stripe)

Asia and the Americas

  • Alipay – Commonly used in China

  • WeChat Pay – Popular in China

  • Boleto – Used in Brazil

  • FPX – Available in Malaysia

  • Afterpay / Clearpay – Available in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US (requires address fields in Booqable)

  • Affirm – Available in the US and Canada


How to enable payment methods in Stripe

  1. Log in to your Stripe dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings > Payments > Payment methods.

  3. Locate the Booqable configuration under “Platforms”.

  4. Activate the payment methods you want to offer.


Troubleshooting

iDEAL or another method isn't showing up?
Your Stripe account may not support it based on your country or business type. Check the method's availability on Stripe or contact Stripe support for clarification.

Customer can’t check out using Afterpay?
Make sure you’ve added the customer’s address details in the order. Afterpay requires this information to process the payment.
