This guide will help you enable and manage the Stripe payment methods available in your Booqable checkout.
Steps to enable Stripe payment methods
Connect your Stripe account
Ensure your Stripe account is connected to Booqable. If it's not connected yet, follow the guide here.
Navigate to payment settings
Log in to your Stripe account.
Go to the Payments section in your Stripe account settings or click here and click on the Payment methods tab.
Select Booqable configuration
Activate or deactivate payment methods
Important notes
If you reside in Europe, the UK, or Swizterland and have a Paypal business account, Paypal will appear under the Wallets section of your payment methods for you to add to your online checkout. If you reside out of these regions, you can connect to Paypal through the Booqable payment providers page.
Some payment methods may not be available due to your specific Stripe account settings or configuration. If a certain payment method is not available, verify with Stripe directly to understand the limitations or requirements.
Ensure your Stripe account is properly configured to support the desired payment methods.
Apple Pay and Google Pay are not yet available for integration with the Booqable checkout.
Troubleshooting payment methods
My selected payment methods are not showing up: Make sure that the configuration is set to Booqable, as shown on the screenshot below:
Not being able to check out with Afterpay: Customer (not Order) address field needs to exist so that Afterpay can use that information for order processing.
Checkout or payment attempts are failing: If your customers are unable to complete a payment and everything in Booqable appears correctly set up, it could be due to a restriction on your Stripe account.
We sometimes see cases where Stripe restricts an account due to verification or compliance reasons. These restrictions may not be visible in Booqable. If your checkout isn’t working and no issues are visible, we recommend logging into your Stripe dashboard and checking for any notifications or required actions, or reaching out to Stripe support for help.
