Zapier allows you to connect Booqable to various applications that can help to automate tasks. The integration lets you create zaps, which work as connections from one application to another.

Popular zaps include those that communicate between Booqable and platforms such as Quickbooks, Docusign, Hubspot, and Gmail.

How it works

An example of a connection you can achieve through Zapier would be an automated text message sent to customers based on a specific order status.

The zap would be defined in the following way: If an order was set to 'Picked up' in Booqable (trigger), a text messaging application such as MessageBird would send a text message (action) to the customer who’s assigned to an order.

The above is just an example of what can be achieved and automated using Booqable and Zapier. Below you will find a list of available triggers and actions.

1. Triggers in Booqable

  • Reserved Order: This trigger activates when an order is reserved in Booqable.

  • Started Order: This trigger activates when an order is marked as ‘picked up’ in Booqable.

  • Stopped Order: This trigger activates when an order is marked as "returned" in Booqable.

  • Updated Order: This trigger activates when an order is updated in Booqable. You can set up workflows to respond to changes in order details.

  • Finalize Invoice: This trigger activates when an invoice is finalized in Booqable.

  • New Customer: This trigger activates when a new customer is added to Booqable.

  • Completed Payment: This trigger activates when a payment for an order is completed in Booqable, it includes both manual and online payments. You can use this trigger to automate tasks or notifications when payments are made.

2. Actions in Booqable

  • Create Customer: This action allows you to create a new customer in Booqable. You can use this action to add customer information from other apps to your Booqable account.

  • Update Customer: With this action, you can update the details of an existing customer in Booqable.

  • Find Customer (by Phone Number or Email): This action enables you to find a customer in Booqable based on their phone number or email address.

  • Delete Customer: This action lets you delete a customer in Booqable.

  • Find Customer (by ID): This action allows you to find a customer in Booqable based on their unique ID.

  • Find Order (by ID): This action enables you to find an order in Booqable based on its unique ID.

3. Connect your Booqable account

To allow Zapier to access your Booqable account, you'll need to provide an API key.
You can create API keys in your user account settings.

1. Go to User settings from the lower-left of the screen.

2. Create a new API key (called "Zapier" for example) and copy it to your clipboard by clicking on 'New authentication method'.

💡Note: Keep your keys secret and only share them with applications you trust; they grant full access to your Booqable account!

3. Log in to your Zapier account search for Booqable. When prompted, fill in the address to your Booqable account and the API key your just created:

4. Click continue and that's it! You're now ready to connect Booqable to other applications and start creating Zaps.

You're all set!

You have now successfully learned how to connect Booqable to other applications through Zapier.
