How to accept payments through Mercado Pago app

Connecting with Mercado Pago

The first step is to connect your Booqable account to your Mercado Pago account:

  1. Navigate to the App store

  2. Click on the Mercado Pago app and click Install app

  3. Grant permissions to allow Mercado Pago to manage your account

  4. Click Connect your Mercado Pago account which will open the website in a new tab

  5. Login or create a Mercado Pago account if you don't have one already

  6. Follow the steps to get your access token from the following article: Get Access Token

  7. Once you have all this information, fill out the form in Booqable and click the Connect with Mercado Pago button

  8. If you want to accept online payments, make sure that you've set up payments at checkout

  9. Now you're ready to accept payments with Mercado Pago in Booqable!

Charging customers at checkout using Mercado Pago

  1. Once customers reach your online checkout and fill out the checkout form, they can click 'Continue to payment'

  2. They will need select their payment method and click the 'Pay now' button

  3. Then, they will be redirected to Mercado Pago to complete the payment

Charging customers on manual orders using Mercado Pago

To charge for manual orders using Mercado Pago, you will need to create a payment link directly from your Mercado Pago account.

If you follow this process and accept the payment outside of Booqable, note that you will need to record this as a manual payment and the refund process will also need to be done directly in your Mercado Pago account.

Refunding with Mercado Pago

If a payment was made with Mercado Pago through your checkout process, you can process a refund directly through Booqable.

Simply navigate to the order screen and on the right side under Payments, hover over the payment made and click the Refund button.
