Rental businesses use some of the most intricate pricing structures around, while some don't price their products at all. To facilitate this, Booqable uses a very flexible pricing system.

Enable or disable pricing

First, let's determine if you use prices for your products at all. If you lend out products free of charge, you can disable pricing altogether.

Disabling pricing on a global level removes all mention of prices, quotes, and invoices throughout the system, cleaning up the interface.

To disable global pricing:

  1. In the main navigation, click Settings.
  2. Click Pricing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the "General" section, disable the toggle labeled "Enable pricing".

Currency settings

Next, you'll want to set your currency and formatting.

To set up your currency:

  1. In the main navigation, click Settings.
  2. Click Pricing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the "General" section, select your desired currency.
  4. Choose if you want to denote the currency a symbol ($) or as a three-letter code (USD).
  5. Finally, choose if the currency denotation should be before or after the amount.

Prices in the online store

Choose if (and how) prices show in your online store.

To set up online pricing:

  1. In the main navigation, click Settings.
  2. Click Online reservations from the left sidebar and scroll down to the Show prices section.

You can use prices in Booqable without showing them online by disabling "Show prices in online store". Hiding prices is useful if you want your customers to request a quote, for example.

You can show your prices in the online store in 3 ways. In the following examples, we use a product that's $10 per day.

Charge period

Shows the label for the duration that's charged, regardless of the order duration.

For example, you may charge 2 days for a 3-day rental. The price is displayed as "2 days $20.00".

Order period

Shows the label for the selected order period, regardless of the duration that's charged.

For example, you may charge 2 days for a 3-day rental. The price is displayed as "3 days $20.00".

Lowest (base) price

Displays the 'from' price, regardless of the selected order duration.

For example: for a 3-day rental, the price shows as "1 day $10".
