Bulk operations let you select multiple entries and update one or more of their properties simultaneously. You can perform bulk operations on orders, customers, and products.

Note: You can not perform bulk operations that may result in availability or inventory issues (like archiving products or changing their shortage limit).

Select items to edit in bulk

Use the checkboxes to select the orders, customers, or products you want to edit.

To select all items on the page, click the master checkbox at the top of the list.

Click "Select all ..." to select all items across all pages.

Note: The bulk editor respects any filters you have set, so you can easily edit all items with specific tags, or archive all returned orders from a particular date range, for example.

Perform bulk actions on items

After you select one or more items, click Actions, and then select a bulk action. Orders, customers, and products each have their own set of available actions.

Edit customers or products

You can bulk-edit properties like the discount percentage for customers or the pricing method for products.

  1. Select which properties you wish to update and fill in the new values.
  2. Confirm the action to update all selected properties with the new values.

Important: Only select the properties you actually want to update.

Edit tags

Add, replace, or remove tags from orders, customers, and products.

  1. Choose if you want to add, replace, or remove tags.
  2. If applicable, choose or search for existing tags from the Available tags section.
  3. The Selected tags section lists the tags that will be added, replaced, or removed.
  4. Confirm the action to update the tags for the selected items.

Generate barcodes

Create barcodes for customers, products and variations, and individual stock items.

  1. (When generating barcodes for products) choose if you want to create barcodes for the main products (or their variations) or for individual stock items.
  2. Choose whether to create barcodes for just the items that don't have barcodes yet or to replace existing barcodes with new ones.
  3. Click Generate barcodes

Note: The bulk action generates barcodes in the Code 128 format.

Archive items

Archive customers or (returned) orders.

Bulk operations screen

Bulk operations may take some time to complete. After you initiate a bulk operation, you'll see the bulk operations screen where you can monitor the progress in real-time.

Finished bulk operations may return notifications with additional information like errors or skipped items.

Note: You can access the bulk operations screen at any time from the main menu.
