For payments made outside of the connected payment gateways of Stripe and Paypal, you can register them in Booqable to let your team know you have already taken a payment for this order externally.
This is helpful to register payments made through external card machines, cash, bank transfer, cheque, voucher, and more.
This also helps keep your payment statuses updated so you can organise your orders into paid and unpaid on your orders screen.
How it works
On each individual order's screen, you will be able to click the Payments button and choose between a list of different payment methods to record how this order was paid for.
This will update the payment status of the order, to keep your Orders page organised.
1. Register a payment
View an order.
In the right sidebar, click the Payment button.
Click Manual payment.
Fill in the amount you want to register, placing seperate amounts of the order Amount and Security deposit.
Choose the method of payment for this order.
Adjust the payment date if needed.
2. Register a refund
View an order.
In the right sidebar, hover over the payment you want to refund.
Select Refund.
Fill in the amount you want to refund.
3. Edit a payment
Hover over the payment you want to edit.
Click Edit payment.
💡Note: Payments made through Stripe or PayPal can not be edited
4. Delete a payment or refund
Hover over the payment you want to delete.
Click Delete payment.
💡Note: Payments made through Stripe or PayPal cannot be deleted.
You're all set!
You have now successfully learned how to register manual or cash payments in Booqable.
