Booqable is proud to have a wide range of international subscribers, which means we have been hard at work to try and supply a Booqable subscription in as many languages as possible.

Your Booqable account's locale is the language that your Booqable account, or backend, is configured to appear in. The following article will guide you through how to adjust this language in your account's backend.

How it works

Your account locale is automatically set to the language that is configured to the Booqable website at the time of sign up. For example; if you reside in Spain, and sign up for a Booqable account from our Spanish language site, your Booqable account is defaulted to appear in Spanish.

For whatever reason, you may need to switch it to back English or another language, which you can now do in your Booqable user settings.

1. In your Booqable account, click User Settings by hovering your mouse over your username, at the bottom of your Booqable main menu.

2. In User settings; you will see the dropdown menu to select the locale, meaning the language, for your Booqable account.

3. Select the locale of your choice, and hit save. As you can see; I have selected Netherlands, so my Booqable account has now changed to reflect the Dutch language version of the backend.

You have now successfully changed the language that appears in your Booqable account!

💡Keep in mind this will only affect the language you will see on the backend, not the website builder or any Booqable integration with an external website (such as WordPress, Shopify or Squarespace).

To change the language your customer will see on your online store, read our translations tutorial.

You're all set!

You have now successfully learned how to adjust the language of your account's backend.
