This guide will walk you through the steps to connect a custom domain to your rental website.

How it works

When you create your online store with Booqable, you're given a default booqable.store domain (e.g., https://example.booqable.store/). You can change this to a custom domain you have or plan to purchase, such as www.yourwebsite.com.

1. Purchase your domain

Before you connect your domain, you will have to purchase one from a provider such as GoDaddy. or Domain.com.

2. Connect your domain to your Booqable account

1. In your Booqable account, go to: Settings > Online Reservations > Preferences > Custom Domain > Connect your domain

2. Enter your custom domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) and click "Continue".

3. The in-app interface will guide you on which steps to take next. You can also refer to the instructions below.

💡Note: If you want to use a domain with "www" (e.g., www.yourdomain.com), make sure to enter "www.yourdomain.com" in the Booqable settings as well.

3. Set up an A record

This step will make sure your website's visitors are directed to the right place.

  1. Log in to your domain provider's website

  2. Follow their guide to set up an A record (links provided below).

  3. Point to Booqable’s IP address: 54.160.66.7

💡Note: Propagation can take 5 minutes to 48 hours.

3. Check your domain

Option 1: Verify the status of your domain in Booqable. This can be done in custom domain settings.

Option 2:

  1. Visit a DNS checker website, such as DNS Checker.

  2. Enter your domain name, select the A record from the dropdown and click on Search.

  3. For A records, check if the IP address reads 54.160.66.7.

You're all set!

Your custom domain is now attached to your Booqable online store.
