This guide will walk you through the steps to connect a subdomain for your rental website.
How it works?
A subdomain allows you to create a separate, specific section of your website. For example, if you want to use your main domain for your primary business and a subdomain for your rental services, connecting a subdomain makes this possible.
Example: If your main website is yourdomain.com
, you can create a subdomain like rentals.yourdomain.com
for your rental services.
If you would like to connect a custom domain instead, follow the custom domain article.
Steps to connect a custom subdomain
Create your subdomain
To create a subdomain, log in to your domain provider's website and navigate to the DNS management section. Once there, select the domain for which you want to create a subdomain. Look for an option to add a new record, typically labeled as "Add Record" or "Add New." Choose the "CNAME" record type and enter the subdomain details. For the name, input the desired subdomain (e.g., "subdomain" for subdomain.yourdomain.com
). The CNAME record should be set to custom.booqable.store
.
If you already have a subdomain, you can just follow the Set up a CNAME record guide.
Example: rentals.yourdomain.com
💡 Note: Check with your domain provider to see if subdomains are included for free with your domain purchase or if there are additional costs.
