Charging for payments in Booqable ensures your orders are properly accounted for. You can charge payments through manual payment registrations or credit card processing.

Charge a manual payment

If you accept payments outside of Stripe and PayPal (e.g., cash, bank transfer, external card machine), register them manually in Booqable:

  1. View the order.

  2. In the right sidebar, click the Payment due button.

  3. Select Manual payment.

  4. Enter the payment amount.

  5. Choose the payment method (e.g., cash, bank or other).

💡 Tip: This keeps your payment statuses updated and helps your team track paid and unpaid orders.

Charge a credit card in Booqable

To charge a customer’s credit card directly from Booqable, your account must be connected to Stripe.

  1. From an order or invoice, click the Payment button.

  2. Choose Credit card as the payment method.

  3. Enter the amount to charge.

  4. Enter the credit card details or select a stored credit card.

  5. Click Charge to process the payment.

💡 Note: If you want to charge credit cards through the online checkout, refer to the Online payments setup guide.

Edit or delete a payment

If you need to make changes to a recorded manual payment:

  1. Hover over the payment you want to edit.

  2. Click Edit payment.

💡 Note: Payments processed through Stripe or PayPal cannot be edited or deleted.
