How to require email confirmation on new devices

Learn how to make email confirmations on new devices required to add a layer of security and ensure less unauthorized logins to your Booqable account.

An easy way to tell if there is an unauthorized login to your Booqable account is when logging in from an unrecognized device. Logging into Booqable from multiple devices is still easy to do, but if a brand new device attempts to login that isn't you, then it is best to take precautions.

How it works

By going to Settings > Back office > Security, you now have the option to toggle on or off the 'Require email confirmation on new devices.'

Require email confirmation on new devices

Toggling this setting on means that when you or someone else tries to login from a brand new device that Booqable doesn't recognize, an email will be sent with a code to confirm it's really you. We highly recommend keeping this setting turned on because it will help with keeping your account secure.

Don't require email confirmation on new devices

Toggling this setting off is only useful if you use a shared or public computer (for example, a kiosk) where Booqable can't remember the device between sign ins. By toggling this setting off, an email will not be sent to you if a new device attempts to login to your Booqable account.

If you don't require email confirmations, then you can keep an eye on login activity by:

  1. Going to your User settings by hovering over your name in the bottom right corner

  2. Scroll down to Login activity to see from what locations logins were successful.

If you see a successful login from a location far away from yours, take precautions such as:
