Booqable is happy to include a feature as part of our mobile app that allows you to easily create a contract, hand over your device to the customer, and capture their signature in a matter of seconds through the Booqable mobile app.
This update is great for delivery drivers needing a signature in person when handing over items on the road, and allowing your team to manage a large number of orders in-store without having to wait for a free order checkout desk.
How it works
Open a new or existing order
Open up the Booqable mobile app, and the homepage should appear. Here, tap the new order button which will appear as a blue cross in the top right-hand corner.
If you have already created an order that you wish to include the customer's signature on, click on the order on the homepage or search for it in the order search bar.
2. Click to add a signature
The bottom left-hand corner should present a pencil icon button for you to click to open up a new contract that will automatically fill out with this order's, and its customer's, unique details.
3. Capture the customer's signature
The contract number, and amount payable, will appear with a link to View the contract document and its terms on the device you are working from. This is helpful for handing the device over to the customer to read through the contract and any terms you have included in its template before they agree to include their signature.
Below, the customer can use the touch screen functionality of the smartphone or tablet you are working from to write their signature on the screen. Once completed, press Sign to save this signature on the document.
💡Note: This feature is currently only extended to viewing and signing contracts on the Booqable mobile app. To send this document to the customer's email or bring up the document itself in Booqable at a later time, you will need to load up Booqable on the desktop version.
FAQ
1. Can I include my business's unique contract terms and agreements to appear for each document generated in the app?
The contract template in Booqable can be edited to include as much or as little text as you like to create your own terms and agreements for the customer to view, agree, and sign for. You can do this in Settings > Documents.
2. Will this feature work for both iOS and Android devices?
Yes! In Booqable, mobile signatures on contracts is a feature that has been released for both iOS and Android smartphones, and tablets. This process is the same for either option.
